How to Import Your Leads into HubSpot

Once CAPT has extracted and deduplicated your contacts, importing into HubSpot takes under 2 minutes.

Export CSV from CAPT

Open the CAPT popup, go to My Database, click Export CSV. Choose HubSpot format.

Go to Contacts > Import

In HubSpot, navigate to Contacts → Import → Start an import → Import from file.

Upload and Map Columns

HubSpot auto-detects standard column names. Confirm or adjust the property mapping for any custom columns.

Review and Finish

HubSpot shows a preview and deduplicates on email. Click Finish import. Your pipeline is live.

HubSpot + CAPT: Frequently Asked Questions

Does CAPT work with the free HubSpot CRM?

Yes. CAPT's CSV export is compatible with all HubSpot tiers including the free CRM. You don't need a paid HubSpot subscription to import contacts via CSV.

Will HubSpot create duplicates if a contact already exists?

No. HubSpot deduplicates on email address during import — existing contacts are updated rather than duplicated. CAPT also deduplicates before export, so you get double protection.

Where do my CAPT tags appear in HubSpot?

CAPT tags are included in the Message column along with other metadata (source URL, notes, dates). During the HubSpot import wizard, map Message to a Notes property or a custom text property — your tags will be visible there.

Does CAPT integrate directly with the HubSpot API?

Not yet — CAPT uses CSV export to keep your data 100% local and private. No API key, no third-party access to your HubSpot account. Direct API sync is on our roadmap for the Pro plan.
