Unlike HubSpot or Salesforce, Pipedrive organizes everything around Deals. Contacts (People) are the fuel that powers your pipeline.

Step 1 — Import as People

CAPT exports a CSV of People (contacts). Import them under Contacts → People → Import data in Pipedrive.

Step 2 — Link to Organizations

Pipedrive auto-links People to Organizations by email domain. Add an org_name column to CAPT's export for explicit linking.

Step 3 — Create Deals

Once People are in Pipedrive, create Deals linked to them in bulk using Pipedrive's automation or manually per person.

How to Import People into Pipedrive

Pipedrive's import wizard is simple — you can have your CAPT leads inside your pipeline in under 3 minutes.

Export CSV from CAPT

Open the CAPT popup → My Database → Export CSV. Select Pipedrive format.

Go to Contacts → People

In Pipedrive, click Contacts → People. Then click the ⋮ menu → Import data → From a spreadsheet.

Match Columns

Pipedrive auto-matches standard field names. Drag any unmatched columns to the correct Pipedrive field on the right panel.

Import and Activate

Click Start import. Pipedrive shows a real-time progress bar. Duplicates on email are skipped automatically.

Pipedrive + CAPT: Frequently Asked Questions

Can I import directly as Deals instead of People?

Not directly from CAPT's export, but Pipedrive lets you create Deals from People in bulk after import. Alternatively, add a deal_title column to the CSV — Pipedrive's import wizard can create a Deal linked to each Person in the same step.

Will Pipedrive skip duplicate People on import?

Yes — Pipedrive deduplicates on email address. If a person with the same email already exists, it merges the records rather than creating a duplicate. CAPT also deduplicates before export for a clean list.

How does CAPT's source URL appear in Pipedrive?

The source_url column maps to a custom URL field in Pipedrive. You'll need to create this custom field (type: URL) in Pipedrive's settings before importing, then match it in the import wizard.

Does CAPT work with Pipedrive's LeadBooster add-on?

CAPT works independently of LeadBooster. CAPT extracts emails from any website you visit, while LeadBooster generates inbound leads via chatbot and prospector. They complement each other: use CAPT for outbound prospecting, LeadBooster for inbound capture.
